You make the basic point so clearly and so well that we are social and cultural beings. You mention that there are a few theorists, a small minority, who view psychology as a science that includes the collective and not only the individual dimension. But you don't mention the fields of social psychology and cultural psychology. A discussion of what they have accomplished and how far they still have to go would be enlightening.
